This is what most of my learners would say. I know many who live in Morocco🇲🇦
They handle daily life — but switch to French or English when it matters.
Not because they have to.
Because they don’t feel confident.
☀️ My strategy is NEVER start with grammar. BUT focus on:
→ real-life situations (cafés, taxis, admin, work)
→ simple, usable Darija
→ practicing how people actually speak
🔆 A few weeks later, one of my learners said:
“I’m not perfect… but I actually speak now.”
That’s the goal.
✅ Not perfection, but confidence to communicate in Morocco.
🔆🔆 That’s what I focus on in my Darija lessons and Morocco consultations:
practical language + cultural insight you can use from day one.
Want to move from understanding to speaking?
Let’s talk.
